2024 Nail trends by GDN.
From sweet jelly nails, metallics and dark cherry red hues, in 2023 a wave of nail trends took centre stage. As we step into 2024, excitement is growing for more mani inspo by talented nail technicians and celebrity favourites 🪄
Here are my favourite nail trends so far to jump on to this year…
Minimal French
Rather than the traditional nude & white combination, I think we will see a variety of colours & shades applied to this style. Think pastel shades, or bold darks. Black tips are a classy but understated trend right now.
Short & Sweet
We’re seeing many take the chop and transition to short, clean girl, practical nails this year and I am loving the January re-fresh. This is a great starting point if you’re leaving the nail biting in 2023.
Classic Navy
I have seen this classic colour applied to shorter nails and I just love how timeless it looks. We all know greys been trooping 2022’s nudes/beige, so maybe 2024 is navy’s year?
Ballet core
Think subtle and creamy pinks, frosted nudes, and milky whites, in short and clean shapes. Whoever said the ‘clean girl’ aesthetic’s been and gone, was wrong.
Chromes
Chrome Nails have been leading the way for years and I am still loving it, chrome tips, chrome stars, chrome hearts (especially cute for V-day). ❤️
Bows
The trend embraces girlhood and femininity in all its forms, cute hand painted bows paired with white and light-pink nail colours, shimmery finishes, and glitter.
